My recording booth is converted closet. The walls and doors are covered in 2-inch acoustic foam. The floor is covered with a dense rubber pad, which is covered with a carpet.
My equipment is as follows:
Additionally, I own a Sennheiser e835 dynamic mic and a Blue Yeti condenser mic, but I do not use these for voice acting or voice-over work.
I am a lifelong performer and creator. I spent my early life in the Midwest, where I learned to playing the piano and started performing publicly. Eventually, I moved to California, then attended college in New Mexico, where I studied music composition and audio engineering.
After graduating, I moved back to California and spent 10 years in the field of clinical psychology before realizing that I was living an inauthentic life. Gradually, I accepted that my voice was my path forward. I started taking acting lessons, attending coaching sessions, and taking online voice acting courses. In 2025, I started auditioning and racking up my first credits.
As a narrator, I like to have precise diction and a balanced-but-varied tone. I want to ensure that both the words and their meaning are precise and comprehensible. I also like to toe the line between a formal and a personable vocal delivery.
In contrast, as an actor, I love to play characters that are bombastic, unhinged, and completely over the top. I love incorporating all of my musicality and vocal training in every single line, to make each word (or noise!) as colorful and as embodied as possible. I want the listener to be able to see and feel my character purely through the sound of my voice.
In addition to perpetually auditioning, I write about my creative process, compose music, and make videos. I’ve also been creating voice acting challenges for other actors to have fun with.
When I’m not creating or auditioning, I am (most likely) playing fetch or running around California with my rescue dog, Echo.
